Rip Blu-ray/DVD for D-Link Boxee Box streaming

Boxee Box by D-Link is a Linux-based set-top device and media extender. It links to your network and connects to your TV or A/V receiver by way of its HDMI port to deliver high-definition audio and video (1080p). As we all know, D-Link Boxee Box cannot support DVD/BD discs directly. Therefore if you wanna stream Blu-ray/DVDs, you'd better rip Blu-ray/DVD discs into D-Link Boxee Box friendly formats like AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF, FLV, MOV, and MKV. Under this circumstance, a professional Ripper is needed here.

Things you need:

Download the dvd converter: Brorsoft Blu-ray Ripper for Mac (if you are a PC user, you can try Blu-ray Ripper).

Step 1. Launch the Blu-ray/DVD to D-Link Boxee converter and load disc movies to the program. The clean main interface is showed below:


Step 2. In "Format" column, you are supplied a lot of common video formats like AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF, FLV, MOV, and MKV in "Common Video" column.  If you need, you can click Settings to set the video parameters like bit rate, resolution, frame rate, etc.


Step 3.  Click "Convert" button to start to rip Blu-ray/DVD to D-Link Boxee. When the process ends, just open the output folder to locate the generated MP4 files for Boxee.

Copy Blu-ray rips to the folder shared with Boxee Media Manager and then you can play movies instantly and stream them to iPad Pro, iPad Air, PS4, HD TV and other devices. If you own a D-Link Boxee box, you can also transfer movie rips to an USB stick and lets the box plays Blu-ray rips from the USB storage.
